Hello everyone,

I'm working on my graduate project, which is dual axis inertia inverted pendulum. I've tried to use sensorless systems i need to move my motor around 0 speed to get maximum torque, so i moved to sensored projects and added 2 quadrature encoders.

I've tried to run lab12b to run one motor with enco and it works good with both my motors, not indicating any problems. My goal was to use lab12c, but MotorWare projects tutorial says nothing about this one. I tried to run it but as soon as i set "Run_Identify" flag on any of my motors they just start to shake and draw a lot of current from my supply and heat up pretty fast. I've got speedref set default to 150RPM, increasing it just make current peak faster.

My main board is F28069M launchpad with two DRV8301 boosters. My motors are LVBLDCMTR model. My encoders have resolution of 500 impulses per revolution(that's the maximum i could get for my motors)

I'd be appreciated for any help.

I've done some experimenting. It seems that any of double motor labs is not working in my case. I tried to run 10d(sensorless) and similar thing happened - motors started to vibrate. Double motor position lab also doesn't work for me.

I also modified lab12c. I disabled the speed controler and set Iq references by globals i declared. One thing i noticed is that when i enabled identify flags motors were no longer drawing max current(seems like PWM's are not the case there?). When i set current value to non zero (0.1 etc) motor started drawing current (0.5Amps at 0.1 ref, 2.2Amps at 0.2 strangely) but still i could not move. It felt like it was holding one coil energized and was trying to stick to this position. Same thing as with the normal speed controller enabled.

I tried lowering PWM Freqs to from 15 to 10k but it changed nothing.

You must identify the motor using lab02c to get the motor parameters separately. And then set the identified motor parameters in the related user_x.h for lab10d.

Dual motor InstaSPIN-motion is not supported and tested in motorWare, it's just as a starting point if a customer wants to try it.

Problem solved.

Apparently, lab12c uses "user_mtr_on_j1/j5.h" files to utilize data for motorconfig, istead of "user_j1/j5.h". Doing definitions for my motors there solved problem.

I did identification process correctly, but as i said, i noticed that 12c uses different files as "user_x.h" config files than other labs.
