BOOSTXL-DRV8323RS: The motor does not run with the labs in InstaSPIN Projects

Part Number: BOOSTXL-DRV8323RS
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LAUNCHXL-F28069M, DRV8323

Hello here I have two eval-boards: Boostxl-DRV8232Rx on Launchxl-F28069M. I tried to carry out the labs in InstaSPIN projects. I can run the labs 1a and 1b with my board and my motor smoothly. In the lab 1b I could not increase the rotating speed up to 0.6 krpm, otherwise the motor hums and stops. I tired to modify the parameters in user.h and user_j1.h From the lab 2a the motor only hums and stops, which means I cannot run the motor identification using the instaspin software. I have installed and updated the software package for the 8323 but it still did not work. When I came back to the introduction to the board 8323, I found I was supposed to solder 3 capacitors C9 C10 C11. But it takes 3 weeks to get those capacitors for me. Also, the software lab 2c, 5a in DRV8323 package do not work. The motor hums and stops.

Btw, my motor is a PMSM and it has 4 pairs of poles.

My questions:

  • Are the 3 capacitors the reason that I cannot run the labs 2a properly?
  • Which parameter shall I change to run my motor with lab 1b with higher rotating velocity? Or are the 3 capacitors the reason for it?

Thank you so much in advance!
