DRV8847: Pin 14 (MODE) is now connected to a 2.2uF capacitor, could you please advise if there is any side effect?

Part Number: DRV8847

Regarding DRV8847PWPR (our PN: 502137), our interface application is either sleep mode or 4-pin interface (enable when printing only).

  • Jace,

"our interface application is either sleep mode or 4-pin interface (enable when printing only)".

According to Mode pin logic table, it should be always low. You can change that capacitor to a resistor to pull it low.

If you put a capacitor there, the mode pin voltage could be slowly charged up to high Z voltage level. That could make us to compare independent interface and 4-pin interface.
