DRV8874: DRV8874 - Voltage reference applied to VREF pin output impedance required

Part Number: DRV8874
DRV8874 - Some clarification is needed.
I'm going to use DRV8874 to drive inductive load. Current in the load will be regulated over a full range
by changing a voltage applied to VREF pin.
In the datasheet (page 12) is written - "Additionally, the DRV887x devices implement an internal IPROPI voltage
clamp circuit to limit VIPROPI with respect to VVREF on the VREF pin and protect the external ADC in case of
output overcurrent or unexpected high current events."
What is the output impedance a voltage reference applied to VREF pin does need to have for reliable current
regulation?
Can IPROPI voltage clamp cause incorrect behavior in case of unexpected high current events in the load and
high (or moderate) output impedance of the voltage reference applied to VREF pin DRV8874?
