DRV8870: Undershoot drop below -0.9V for 100ns

Part Number: DRV8870

Hi team,

My customer uses DRV8870, and the OUT pin voltage has a deep drop down to -0.9V, and the duration is 100ns. I suppose this is caused by dead time and the voltage is clamped by body diode to 0.9V.

But -0.9V exceeds the maximum rating of OUT pin, and I don't know if lasts for 100ns it will cause permanent damage to the chip. So please help me confirm it.

If -0.9V lasts for 100ns is nort allowed, do you have any solution to minimize this drop? Can we add a diode parallel to low-side body diode?

Thank you.

Gary
