Hello,

We have just bought the evaluation board for the DRV8436E (DRV8436EEVM) but I can't find the SW on ti.com

The user guide says: "Download the installable DRV843x_x.x.x_installer_win.zip file." but there's no link to the download page.

Please, could you tell me where can I download it.

    Hello,

    We have removed DRV8436EEVM material from TI.com couple month ago due to the device package change from 24pin to 28pin for HTSSOP package.

    If you have bought the EVM before, you can download the GUI from  

    https://dev.ti.com/gallery/info/MotorDriversBSM/DRV84xx/ver/0.0.9/

    BTW, we will keep updating to improve the GUI until DRV84xx family devices TRM release.

    Hello Wang,

    Thanks for your reply. I'm trying to evaluate the operation using brushed motors. Does the GUI allow this operation?

    The user guide slou520a says that we can change from PWM mode to Step mode using the toggle button at the top of the screen. (Speed/Step button I suppose)

    It also says that AINx and BINx sliders will appear but I can't find them.

    Please, could you send me instructions for controlling a brushed DC motor and configuring the PWM signal parameters (frequency, duty cycle) using the GUI software.

    Marcos,

    PHASE/EN interface device and PWM interface device are different device.

    PHASE/EN interface device is named DRV8436E for a stepper motor.

    PWM interface device is named DRV8436P.

    The device, GUI interface and user's guide are different between DRV8436E and DRV8436P.

    Please select DRV8436P to support brushed DC motors and configure the PWM signal parameters (frequency, duty cycle) using the DRV8436P GUI software.
