DRV8884: Which side FETs is used in soft decay mode?

Hi, Motor Driver support team

Which side FETs is turned on when Soft Decay mode is enabled? My understanding is that the low-side FETs is usually used in soft decay mode. I would like to know if high-side FETs may be turned on instead of low-side FETs..

If there are a case that high-side FETs is turned on, what case is it?

Is the soft decay same as the slow decay?

"If it is the slow decay, during slow decay, both of the low-side FETs of the H-bridge are turned on, allowing the current to be recirculated."

If the current monitor or sense is only on the high side FET, you may want to use the high-side FETs to do the slow decay.

I mistook. That it the slow decay.

I understood that both of low-side FETs are turned on during the slow decay.
