Here are some questions about DRV8824. Please help to input your comments.

1. As layout guide in datasheet, the low ESR ceramic bypass capacitors are recommend. May I know what ESR value will suggest to use?

2. Does the wire connection between driver and motor were fixed and cannot swap?

    in customer motor spec. if customer connected with A1->AOUT1, A2->AOUT2, B1->BOUT1, and B2->BOUT2, then the first step driver signal will be the 2nd step status for motor.

    That will be problem for loops counting!!

    May I swap the connection? for example: B1->BOUT2 and B2->BOUT1.

    Peter,

    1. We suggest a ceramic capacitor as the low ESR capacitor. In general, After the ceramic capacitor's material, capacitance, tolerance, size is decided. And then, the ESR can be found from the ceramic capacitor vendor.

    2. Yes. Customer can swap the connection. The initial motor moving direction should be changed.
