Hello,
I am currently a student with a limited background in electronics working on a small side project. I would like someone to verify a couple of connections on this schematic.
I am trying to implement closed-loop speed control via an external controller. I plan to run the TACH-OUT pin through an RC filter to get an analog voltage which I will feed to an MSP430 that has a PI controller implemented in software. The MSP430 will then send a PWM command through an RC filter to get an analog voltage to the E/A IN(+) pin.
For most of the other pin connections, I am going off of the reference design in the UC2625 datasheet (page 19). I am particularly confused about connecting ISENSE to PWM IN.
Are the connections for the PWM IN, ISENSE, and E/A pins a correct way to implement this?
Daniel,
The pins mentioned match the datasheet recommendations. Did you have additional questions on these pins?
Regards,
-Adam
Hi Adam,
Thanks for confirming, I was also a bit confused on why the datasheet application connects pin 3 (ISENSE) to pin 26 (PWM IN). Any clarity on this would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Daniel
Daniel,
This is related to the current sensing and can be used for current limiting.
