Hi Sir,
My customer is testing DRV2624EVM but they want to choose bigger vibration motor. Please help to check the attached file and give us suggestion. Can DRV2624 drive this ERM?
Best regards,
Gary Teng

Hey Gary,
The DRV2624 is made to output a max of 5.5 V to drive the attached actuator, given the rated voltage of 12 V for this ERM this driver will not suffice to properly drive it. Currently there are no ERM/LRA haptic drivers with integrated boost commercially available. I will take a look at other options TI offers that may help you with this particular situation and get back to you as soon as possible.
Best,
Carson
Hey again, Gary
Thanks for your patience
After some research there are a few alternative for you to try to drive this ERM with. There are the DRV2510/2511 models of haptic drivers meant for solenoids, and though they will satisfy the voltage requirement it doesn't feature everything the DRV2624 does. Most of our other haptic drivers with support for higher voltages are meant for piezo actuators, which would cause problems if you tried them as they are meant for capacitive loads while the ERM is an inductive load.
Otherwise I would look into our selection of TI class D speaker amplifiers or just some of the motor driver options available under the TI website.
Here are the datasheets for the DRV2510/2511
