DRV10987: Recommended settings for applying to ceiling fans.

Thanks for posting your question in MD forum. We can provide recommendation for the EEPROM values that can be programmed based on the motor parameters and design parameters. Can you provide below information?

1. Phase to center tap resistance of the motor

2. Phase to center tap inductance of the motor

3. Back EMF constant Kt of the motor

4. Motor current rating

5. Number of pole pairs of the motor.

6. Rated mechanical speed of the motor.

I Provide the Motor Information.

1.Phase to center tap resistance of the motor
  -> 0.92Ω (phase resistance) / 1.84 (line resistance)
2.Phase to center tap inductance of the motor
  -> LS:6.0 / RS:4.34
3. Back EMF constant Kt of the motor
  -> 14.4V (based on 360RPM)
4. Motor current rating
  -> 16A
5. Number of pole pairs of the motor.
  -> 18 Pole (STATOR) / 20 Pole (Magnet)
6. Rated mechanical speed of the motor
  -> 360RPM

Unfortunately we do not have any devices in DRV10x family that can meet your requirements. Max current rating in DRV10x devices is 3A. We have Gate driver ICs in DRV8x family with external control and FETs. Please let me know if you need more information on DRV8x devices so that I can redirect you to an expert.

You can use the below EEPROM values as a good starting point to tune your motor. Please note that these are just recommendations and you might have to do further tuning depending on the end application.
