DRV8323R: Part Comparison

Part Number: DRV8323R
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV832X

Hi there,

My team is interested in utilizing either the DRV832x or DRV835x for our application. It seems that both parts meet our required specs. Besides the voltage rating and buck converter specs, are there any differences in the parts?

A little about our application:

- FOC controlled 3 phase BLDC motor

- 23A max, 26V system

Let me know.

  • Daniel,

At your voltage level the devices are very similar, only real difference is whether or not you want to use split supply for the DRV and FET bridge.

Will the FET bridge and DRV be powered by the same 26V? If so you can use either DRV832x or DRV835x. If you wish to drive the DRV with lower voltage and the bridge with higher then the DRV835x is recommended.

The DRV832x has plenty of voltage headroom available (we usually recommend 1.5x to 2x voltage headroom so 60V is enough for 26V applied).

Both devices have the same smart features, protection, input options (6x, 3x, 1x PWM).

    Regards,
