DRV2625: About the DRV2625 I2C version

Part Number: DRV2625

Hi TI,

We use the 100kHz I2C standard in our system. What I2C version does DRV2625 use?

Because we would like to confirm the specification of timing in DRV2625.

Thank you!

Scott

  • Hey Scott,

If you look at page 5 & 6 you will find the timing requirements and diagrams of the I2C interface used by the DRV2625. The max frequency able to be used with this device is 400kHz which corresponds to the Fast Mode of the I2C standard. This means that the device can operate in that 400kHz Fast Mode or slower like at the 100kHz standard your system uses.

I  hope this answered your question.

    Best Regards,

  • Hi Allen,

    Thanks for reply!

However, we found that the Timings in datasheet only show Fast mode (400kHz) .

Is there any concern that we just follow the Timings of the Standard mode (100kHz) as shown in the figure?

    Thank you!

    Best Regards,

    Scott

  • Hey Scott,

Yes, using the timing standards of the 100kHz mode would be fine with this device.
