DRV8870: Motor stops running after >24h

Part Number: DRV8870

Hi!

I'm using the DRV8870 to drive the following DC motor (picture inserted below). I have an issue where the motor stops running after it has been running for a long time (>24h). I have looked at the load the motor is driving and have ruled out that the physical load increases. I have also looked at the PWM signal going into the DRV8870 and haven't been able to see any difference there. Left is to investigate if something happens with either the DRV8870 or the motor itself when it has been running for a while.

I've previously had an issue with the DRV8870 when used with a different motor, where that motor had a very low inductance which caused the OCP of the DRV8870 to kick in when I tried to drive that motor. But this motor that I'm using now has a higher inductance and works fine, except when run for a longer time (>24h).

Do you have any ideas to what could be going on? If you require additional detail, feel free to PM me.
