DRV10975: Please ask the team to respond to questions regarding DRV10975 speed regulating input

Part Number: DRV10975

Hi team, please help me to guide DRV10975 PWM speed regulation control input to speed is set in the GUI environment debugging problems currently brushless motor running smooth, hope to know PWMIN input under what circumstances can make equipment to speed I haven't burn program after test the speed regulating function thank you please reply as soon as possible to support

  • Please ask the team to reply about DRV10975 speed regulation input related issues DRV10975EVM potentiometer analog input speed regulation can not step by step, only one speed, using PWM is the same problem, may I ask the technical team DRV10975GUI can not achieve two ways of speed regulation? Please call the team whether I set the program wrong or DRV10975EVM in DRV10975GUI can not be simulated and PWM operation speed greetings

  • Hi!

Thanks for posting your question in MD forum. I don't think I have completely understood your question but let me try to answer your question.

I'm guessing your question is about speed regulation and how to improve speed regulation. What is the speed regulation % that you are aiming to achieve? Can you provide motor parameters such as Rm, Kt, Max speed, pole pairs and the device register configurations? I can take a look and give my suggestions.

    Regards,

    Vishnu.

  • HI is pleased to be able to discuss with you the technology DRV10975 motor speed 35,000 RPM, KT: 63 coil resistance 3.8 ohms.At present, the motor is running normally. The only problem is that I can see the potentiometer adjustment data in the GUI speed instruction, while the motor speed displayed by GUI does not change synchronously with the potentiometer or PWM speed regulation.I am eager to mass produce products here. Please know. Thank you

  • Hi,

Just to be sure, is the motor speed that you see in the highlighted box in the below screenshot not matching the actual speed? The motor speed displayed in RPM in the GUI is wrong and this is a known issue. I would recommend to measure the frequency of the FG pin as this will give accurate results on motor speed.

    Regards,

    Vishnu

  • Hello, I observed in the GUi that the motor speed instruction has changed, and the actual speed of the motor has not been changed by the instruction. Is it because the program was not written to the EEPROM?Does the program change the control speed after writing to the device?Look forward to your guidance in solving the problem.

Have a good day at work

  • Hello to add a question: I saw your answer on the forum. May I ask if DRV10975 can't be controlled?

  • Hi,

This is not a device level issue. This is an issue in the GUI where the GUI uses wrong equation to convert the values readback from register 0x11 and 0x12 (Motorspeed1 and Motorspeed2 registers) to actual speed in rpm. However, the Motor speed in Hz and the frequency of FG pin should be accurate.

    Regards,

    Vishnu

  • Thank you for your reply.I can understand it this way: Because of the GUI problem, the speed instruction cannot be controlled to the change of motor speed. After the program is burned into the device, the device will work in accordance with the speed instruction. Can I start to burn the file to the device?I hope you will have a very happy weekend

  • I'm a little confused. Are you saying that the speed displayed in GUI in RPM does not increase with increase in analog speed input command? Did you measure the actual speed of the motor to confirm that the speed doesn't increase with increase in analog speed input command? Frequency of the PWM signal in the FG pin will give you the motor speed in Hz. Can you measure the frequency of the FG pin to know if the actual speed of the motor changes or not with the analog speed input command?

  • hank you. The problem has been solved. Good luck
