  • Hi Dimitri,

Thank you for providing the information.

Since the original thread has been locked, let's continue the discussion in this post. Please allow me a day to go over the information you sent and answer your question.

  • Hi Dimitri,

One concern I see with your schematic is that you seem to have paralleled the outputs. Your current configuration (M1=M2=M3=0) is for dual bridge with CBC current limit. This could explain why not all outputs were being disabled after the OCP fault. Figure 15 on the datasheet show an example of a parallel bridge configuration. Your current schematic does not match with the example on Figure 15 so you will not be able to set the driver in parallel bridge mode.

    Here are my two suggestions:

    1. remove the traces between OUT_A & OUT_C and OUT_B & OUT_D. Then make a connection between OUT_A & OUT_B and OUT_C & OUT_D. Set M1=M3=0 and M2=1 to set to parallel bridge mode with CBC current limiting. Then repeat the short test
    2. Remove connection between OUT_A & OUT_C and OUT_B & OUT_D. then repeat the short test only measuring OUT_A and OUT_B.

  • Hi Pablo,

Thank you for your suggestion. I tried it, but with M2=1 the PWM_C and PWM_D are disconnected internally. We have four PWM signals, not only PWM_A and PWM_B.
