Hello I am engineer in amotech. co

i saw DRV10983Q1 datasheet

datasheet said that  DRV10983-Q1 can accomplish 2 pole 4pole up to 32 pole.(p38)

but i want to make 9slot 10pole motor. 10pole motor is unnormal motor. so is it possible to make 9slot 10pole motor by using DRV10983Q1?? PLEASE Let me know as soon as possible

    Hi sung,

    The DRV10983-Q1 does not care how many poles there are. The FG is the only thing that limits the number of poles and that is only for feedback to a MCU. if you do not need precise feedback then any even pole amount will work. I do not see why a 9 slot 10 pole motor would not work.
