DRV8873: Replacement for TB67H451FNG

Can you clarify 6A drive current?

Is 6A RMS current or peak current?

If RMS what is the peak current?

If peak, what is the RMS current?

What is the duration of the peak current?

Is bi-directional load current required?

Actually, this 6A current last for every 5us, and then 0A for every 5us. So the whole period is 10us.

But this will be running for about 10 mins or 30 mins.

Do you have any suggestions for this application?

The DRV8873 is the best match assuming there can be some variation of the 6A load current.

The DRV8874 overcurrent circuit can activate as low as 6A. So if the load current exceeds 6A, overcurrent may activate.

Is the lower voltage rating of the DRV8873 (recommended max of 38V) acceptable? If not, we may have to look at other alternatives.

Actually the Bus voltage is 2-cell Li-on battery, which is about 7V-8.4V.

But customer want to use as simple as TB67H451FNG, which only have 8 PIN.

Do we have any recommendation for this?
