BOOST-DRV8711: Boost-drv8711:while motor running get extermely heat

Dear TI commuinty,

I am using boost drv8711 driver to control stepper motor 0.95A rated current ,but when motor rotate it gets extermely heating it took 0.84A for rotating the motor with no load .

help me regulate the current and reduce the heat for my application .here with attached motor spec..

Please monitor the output current with a scope and share the waveform to here.

Dear wang li,

Thanks for the reply ... we have tunned current sense resister ,now it not heating too much but share us any clear reference for current decay .

we have set fast or slow or automixed for my application ..

If you are not sure which decay mode should be used, please select auto-mixed decay to start with.
