DRV2605L: Auto Calibration Procedure calculation

Hi Team,

During DRV2605L Setup, an Auto Calibration Procedure is required. The values of several registers are obtained by calculation. Customer wants to use this chip to drive eccentric motors. He would like to know how to calculate it?

Hi Annie,

regarding the calibration, the value will be obtained in the registers 0x16~0x1a. you can save the values in somewhere, and rewrite them next time when it is required.

you can refer to the details in the datasheet page28 section8.5.6.

can you descript why you need to calculate any values?

The drive current consumption is dependent of the effect that is being used and the actuator type. Please take a look at this document for details about the haptics devices current consumption.
