0-10V / PWM

Prodigy 130 points

Please suggest the ways to drive the pump either 0-10V analog vtg or PWM output in single circuit

Circuit will be driven by micro controller operating at 3.3V

Output: 0.0 - 10.0Vdc
Resolution: 0.1V
Min.load: 0 mA
Max load: 10 mA
Duty cycle: 0-100%, +/-1%
PWM frequency:  100 – 4000 Hz
VOH:  4V ≤ Voh ≤ 15V (pump characteristic)
VOL:   0V ≤ Vol ≤  1V (pump characteristic)
Driving current: ≤ 60mA
  • Hello Abhilash , thank you for posting to the forum.

Are you trying to make a charge pump that has 0.1V resolution, or are you trying to drive a fluid or air pump motor?
Please provide more information to aid in routing your inquiry.
    Thank you.
  • Hello EdWalker,

Thanks for support.I am trying to drive a fluid pump motor that has 0.1V resolution, which should have driving by either by 0-10V  or PWM in single circuit using LCP1759FBD80 microcontroller.

    Thank you.

  • Hello Abhilash,
You did not indicate whether you had a brushless DC, brushed DC, stepper, etc.
There is not enough information to recommend an exact IC to use.

TI has motor drivers for many different types of motors.
See these landing pages; Motor Drivers
    http://www.ti.com/motor-drivers/overview.html

    http://www.ti.com/applications/industrial/motor-drives/overview.html

Based on the motor type you can explore TI solutions for that type.

Examining Stepper Motors, you will see there are parameters needed for selection.
Input voltage, minimum, maximum; control interface, RMS output current.

Brushed DC motors may be driven with gate drivers and mosfets.

Here is another useful document with many links to explore.

If you can define your requirements more, I can help narrow the possible solutions.
