I've just got DRV2700EVM devboard, trying to connect it to computer. The Piezo Control Console crashed when I have selected device, press Connect and trying to run console after that, it is crashing, see attached screenshot. All jumpers are by default, I did not change anything, connected only to USB, no extra power supply. Computer with Windows 10, have tried few computers - the same.

Hi Serge,

Can you please (1) copy/paste the entire error message and post it on a reply, and (2) update the firmware on the DRV2700EVM and check if the problem persist?

I have noticed the MSP430 chip is kind of hot, hard to keep finger on it after 10 minutes. Have decided to send back to replace.

We have tried on one PC with Windows 7 - the same problem. Also, it is not explaining why MSP430 is getting hot.

Yes, the MSP430 sound like a problem.
Piezo control console should work properly on Windows 7. Let us know when you recieve the new EVM and we can work through the software problem if it persists.

according to the documentation, this isn't even the right software. The screenshots in the manual show different software but this is all I can find. I get the same crash in windows 7 and my processor is not getting hot.

I used your tool to update the EVM to firmware v1.7 and it failed. Now the device doesnt even show up in the tool. Luckily I ordered 3 but I'm not sure what to do with the other 2 right now. I'm guessing I'll have to dig up an MSP430 programmer to get this one to come back to life.

What am I supposed to do?
