TSC2046E: Drive capability IOH/IOL on digital output

Part Number: TSC2046E
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TSC2046, CDCE913

Hi team,

Could you show me the recommend operating conditions for IOH and IOL?

I want to know the data like below table.

Regards,

Taka Saito

  • Hi Takahiro-san,

Can I ask where you pulled that table from? The general I/O (DOUT, BUSY. /CS, etc) for the TSC2046 was characterized with a fixed 250uA load. These lines generally connect directly to a micro controller and don't normally carry 'recommended operating conditions'. The output switch drivers can provide up to 50 mA as noted on page 3 of the datasheet.
  • Hi Tom

The table is pulled from CDCE913 datasheet just as an example.

    >The output switch drivers can provide up to 50 mA as noted on page 3 of the datasheet.
This drive capability is for switch drivers for X+/- and Y+/-.
Does general I/O also has 50mA drive capability?

    Regards,
    Takahiro

  • Hi Takahiro,

No, the general I/O would be limited to something on the order of a few mA MAX. Those pins are meant to be connected directly to a uC and would not (under normal circumstances) need to drive heavy loads.
