LM25066I: I2C Address Pins ESD Protection

Part Number: LM25066I

Hi,

we are using the LM25066i Chip  and i would like to know if there is any ESD Protection on the I2C Address ADR0/ADR1/ADR2?

The LM25066i is used as a hot swap but we intend to connect the ADR0 with our connector too.

So that on the other board, the the ADR0 pin is connected to GND or left floating.

Is there any ESD Suppression diodes on the ADR0?

Should i add a suppression diodes on the ADR0 pin or would it never get any damaged?

Best regards,

Michael

  • Hi Michael,

Thanks for reaching out to us. We can place TVS diodes between I2C address lines and GND. Please see this TVS diode, TPD4E1B06, whether it meets the requirements or not. This is a bi-directional one with maximum reverse stand-off voltage of 5.5 V. This device has a maximum line capacitance of 0.95 pF.
