TPS50601A-SP:

Part Number: TPS50601A-SP

use WEBENCH® Power Designer for power design, when custom the design, for example, change the output capacitor value and ESR in a DCDC, the compensation network components value remain the same which should be updated accordingly.

  • Hi Richard,

I'm am not sure if Webench is powerful enough to optimize compensation for frequency response based on custom designs.  I will refer question to the Webench team though.   In general, we recommend using TINA and PSpice models to simulate the space grade devices such as this one.

    Thanks

  • Hi Richard,

If we change any component (example cout) – we may have a bad design and may have to change other components manually to fix this design. Currently there is no easy way to update all other components when we just changes one component on Webench.

There is one feature which helps re-compensate the design. When we change a component in schematic and if design goes unstable, it triggers a pop-up warning with a one click action to auto re-calculate and change compensation components. User clicks on the action in the pop-up warning and compensation is updated to make the design stable. This feature is not available on all devices and also limited to compensation components only (Rcomp, Ccomp, etc). This feature is currently enabled for TPS50601A-SP.

    Best Regards
