My customer want to know that:
As per my understanding of the USB Type C standard, the power delivery communications are done by the CC1 and CC2 (ChannelConfiguration) lines.So that we can achieve the fast charging and all. From the datasheet of BQ25792, it says that "To support fast charging usingadjustable high voltage adapter (HVDCP), the device provides D+/D- handshake." (Page no : 24).
So, could you please help me to understand the following. 1) How can we achieve fast charging without using the ChannelConfiguration (CC) lines? 2)Can we interface the BQ25792 directly to any of the standard USB Type C adapters (like our mobile phone charger)? If the fast charging configuration is done by the USB data lines.
