TPS6594-Q1: Difference between PTPS65941310RWERQ1 and PTPS659413F0RWERQ1

Part Number: TPS6594-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRA829V, J721EXSOMXEVM

Hello Team,

We are using PTPS659413F0RWERQ1 and PTPS659411F0RWERQ1 as PMIC for one of our board design with DRA829V processor.

We could see that the product is in preproduction and we have ordered samples for our prototype. We have designed the circuit as per J721EXSOMXEVM. But we saw the part number used in EVM is PTPS65941310RWERQ1, PTPS65941111RWERQ1 and the available preproduction parts are PTPS659413F0RWERQ1, PTPS659411F0RWERQ1.

1. What will be the difference between both the devices.?

2. We are using same setting in the PMIC and circuits are as per the EVM only. Will the register settings in NVM be changed ?

Kindly let us know the reply at the earliest since this will impact the board layout and delays our prototype development.

Thanks and Regards,

Arun M

  • Hello,

The PTPS659413F0RWERQ1 and PTPS65941310RWERQ1 have limitations related to the peak power requirements for the DRA829V.  Please direct your inquiries to the DRA829V team to understand what is required for your processing needs.

The differences between the 1310+1111 and the 413+411 are intended to be minimal.  The solutions are to be functionally equivalent.  At the present there is no plan to make the 1310 publicly available.  Please inquire with your local ti representative to address the business case.

    Regards,

    Chris
