Hi team,

My customer is using TPS25942L, and considering using TPS25940L to replace it.

This is same situation with https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management-group/power-management/f/power-management-forum/987319/tps25940-devslp?tisearch=e2e-sitesearch

1. When the DEVSLP-pin is open, will the DevSleep Mode active or disabled?

2. Is the TPS25940L released after TPS25942L? Are the both devices same process rule and made by same factory? Are the both devices same design?

Thanks for reaching out to us.

1) When the DEVSLP-pin is open, will the DevSleep Mode active or disabled? Avishek: DEVSLP mode will be disabled. Because, DEVSLP pin has an internal pull down of 1 µA to ground.

2) Is the TPS25940L released after TPS25942L? Are the both devices same process rule and made by same factory? Are the both devices same design? Avishek: TPS25940L and TPS25942L are from same die. Unique functionality is selected using OTP during final test.

Is the DMODE connected to ground, floating or being used in the existing customer TPS25942L PCB?

HI Avishek,

I have additional question.

The datasheet for the TPS25942 includes a description of "9.3.5 Reverse Current Protection", but the datasheet for the TPS25940 does not. Is the function of this reverse current protection the same for both TPS25942 and TPS25940?

Reverse current blocking functionality is same for both TPS25942 and TPS25940.
