UCC27528: How to understand the descriptions in the datasheet

Part Number: UCC27528

Hi team,

Could you tell the difference between 2 sentences in the datasheet as below?

1. CMOS Input Logic Threshold(Function of Supply Voltage on VDD Pins)

2. Inputs and Enable Pin Voltage Levels Not Restricted requiring dual-gate drives with critical timing, such as by VDD Pin Bias Supply Voltage

Customer is not sure the difference. 1 mentions that the voltage is function of VDD, but 2 mentions that the voltage is not restricted by VDD.

Regards,

Noriyuki Takahashi

  • Hello Takahashi-san,

Part 1 refers to the input threshold logic (Vin_H and Vin_L) which depends on VDD levels as shown in the datasheet.

Part 2 refers to the amplitude of the EN and IN signals which are independent of VDD voltage meaning that VDD may be 10V while IN and EN pins may be driven by 12V signals so long as it is within recommended operating conditions.

    Hope this clarifies.

    Regards,
