TPS2660: Understanding the TPS26602 overvoltage clamp feature

Part Number: TPS2660

I have a design intended for the TPS26600 but due to supply shortages needs to support a TPS26602. What happens to the TPS26602 overvoltage clamp feature if the OVP pin is not connected to RTN but instead is wired to the resistor ladder network of a TPS26600-based design? Will it work as usual for all input voltages below the configured OVP and OVC fixed threshold of 38V?
