BQ27510-G3: RemCap slightly decreased although AvgCurrent shows still 0 (no load)

Hi Team,

We found RemCap slightly decreased although AvgCurrent always shows 0 (no load) with BQ27510EVM + battery.
RemCap decreased about 1mAh in 30 minutes.
Is it a possible case for BQ27510EVM?

StbyCurrent always shows -2mA.
Is it related to RemCap decreasing?

  • Is there TI member who can support it?
If you need additional information or has something unclear, please let me know.

  • Yaita,

    1) The TI gas gauges when in [REST] mode will rely on the batteries OCV to update its state of charge

    or

    2) if the standby current is -2mA as you say the gauge will still coulomb count this charge. Avg current will report 0 because that is below the default "deadband" current (3mA), but it will still count that charge expelled.

    Thanks,
