UC2825A: Spice model of UC2825A

Part Number: UC2825A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UC2825, UC1825, TINA-TI

Hi Team,

Our customer is looking for the Spice model of UC2825A. Upon checking the forum, I didn't find the Spice model for this device. However, the product page of UC2825 shows the TINA-TI model for UC1825. Would the result of the simulation of UC1825 represents the same result using UC2825A?

Regards,

Danilo

  • Hi,

Yes you can use UC1825 model to to simulate UC2825A. There are descriptions in the UC2825A datasheet on page 1 and 2.

As for the differences among 18xx, 28xx, and 38xx, these are temperature grades.  Please look at UCC1825 datasheet page 4.

So it is ok to use UC1825 model to simulate UC2825A.

  • Hi Hong,

Thank you for the confirmation. The customer used the Pspice model of UC1825 with Cadence Pspice simulator. However, he encountered an error. He fixed the duplicate name D_D1 and there are still some other errors in the source code.  The error from the simulator is as follows:

ERROR -- Subcircuit 5 used by X_U31.XU1.XU1 is undefined

ERROR -- Incorrect number of interface nodes for X_U31.XU8.XU5

What could be the cause of this error?

    Regards,

    Danilo

  • Hi,

TI web only shows TINA-TI model and it works ok. I suggest you use TINA-TI to make simulation as we have no resource to support TINA to Cadence model transfer.
