TPS62110-Q1: Feedback resistors

Part Number: TPS62110-Q1

Hello Team,

the customer is using feedback resistor of  560kOhm/300kOhm as per datasheet, but due to some noise coupling they want to reduce it.

I'm assuming that the high value is related to the IC Iq of being 20uA and the high value for the feedback resistor does not add additional Iq.

Can the 56k/30k value be used for the feedback resistors instead?

Is there a minimum value not recommended for the device?

Thanks,

SunSet

  • Hi Sunset,

There is a balance between Ideal and noise for FB resistor selecting.

I'm good with 56k/30k , while please make sure that the FB trace is away from high dv/dt trace . and please make feedback node close to FB pin.

for future question , Amod will help.

  • Thanks Young.

    Hi Sunset,

Yes lower feedback resistor values can be used. The Iq will not be affected due to changes in feedback resistor values. You can also refer to this app note for various performance changes with different feedback resistor values.

    Thanks,

    Amod
