UCD3138064EVM-166: Problem with Lab1

Did you use a particular lab firmware? I have not noticed on my side any issue when changing the memory map for UCD3138064.  If you can help me with some more details to reproduce I will gladly look into further.

Attached is the directory of the map file. 

I am using control board UCD3138064EVM-166 instead of the open loop board.

I downloaded and installed the lab and while the device was in ROM mode I opened the memory debugger and changed the map to this exact location above.  It was able to load without a problem.

Which version of the GUI do you have?  Please confirm also that it is Fusion Digital Power Studio and not Fusion Digital Power Designer.

I think this is related to your operating system.  Do you have fips compliancy set for cryptographic algorithms? We use an MD5 checksum to process the map file for faster loading. If you are able to disable this setting you shouldn't have a problem.  I will also consider a fips compliant algorithm to replace this one for the future. Kindly update me if you have been able to adjust the fips setting on your OS.

I'd need to look into further.  What I can suggest as a work around would be to delete a folder called "debugger-cache" before starting the GUI.  It is usually found here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\Fusion Digital Power Studio\data\debugger-cache 

Let me know if this works.

hi, Amiel, i do have the directory as you said, but there is no 'debugger-cache' folder under this directory.

Was it always disabled or did you change it to disabled?  If you did it says that you need to restart the computer.  Also can you please ask your IT department if there is any group policy that may be specifying this setting?

Hi, Amiel, FIPS setting was always disable on my computer, even before i try ucd device gui. Check the attached picture below, that is after i downloaded lab1 firmware, Looks like there is a problem running the firmware??

Hello Shengnan,  I noticed you only downloaded flash block 0.  Are you sure you are not using two blocks?  May want to download both.

Hi, Amiel, Thanks for the quick response. tried both, got the same result. The firmware is from Lab1, so should be really small anyway.

the device id problem solved by tie fault3 to gnd. will continue work on the FIPS problem.
