Order#T01380415, PN#CSD17311Q5,DC2032+. we find some voids on surface.(only dc2032 parts with voids). Please advise is this a defect or standard specifications?

  • Hello Vanessa,

Thanks for your interest in TI FETs. I don't know what cd2032 is. Can you please provide more details on the voids you are finding. Which surface are you referring to - the plastic case, solder pads or in the solder joint after the device has been assembled onto the PCB? Photographs and/or x-rays showing the voiding would also be helpful.

    Best Regards,

  • Hi John
DC2032 means date code 2032+. Only 2032+date code parts with voids/bubbles.
The plastic case I am referring to. Please see the pictures.
Please advise is this a defect or standard specifications?
  • Hi Vanessa,

For some reason, it seems my earlier response was not posted. I shared these pictures with our packaging team. These are solder voids and TI allows up to 20% voiding. These parts are within this limit.

    Thanks,

    John
