TPS63900: EN pin control

Part Number: TPS63900

Hi there,

I'm working with TPS63900 and developing a new board where the EN pin can be controlled by a DIO (GPIO). The expected behavior is the following:

a. if the DIO is at high impedance state, TPS63900 is enabled

b. if the DIO is at high level outputTPS63900 is enabled

c. if the DIO is at low level outputTPS63900 is disabled

The DIO pin can source and sink up to 2mA, and we would like to avoid using an extra transistor. The team came up with a solution having the EN pin connected to a DIO (GPIO) and a 10kOhm pull-up resistor, as shown below:

Are there any possible drawbacks concerning this solution?

Aside from testing it, we'd like to know whether this approach is recommended or not (and, if there's a better one, we'll appreciate to learn it from you guys).

Thanks for helping,
Bruno
