DCR010505: What is the DCR010505 Vrec pin normal range

Part Number: DCR010505

Hi team,

My customer is using DCR010505. They have developed several prototypes. But they found some of the boards have a VREC pin voltage of  ~6.8V but some of the boards have a VREC pin voltage of ~7.2V. So is this 6.8V or 7.2V on VREC pin within the normal range? And do we have the 'Electrical Characteristics' range on VREC pin voltage? I didn't find it in our datasheet. Thanks.

Best regards,

Wayne

  • Hi Wayne,

Unfortunately, we do not have a EC range on VREC pin voltage. But, 6.8V to 7.2V is around the common range.

    Regards,
    Alejandro

  • Hi Alejandro,

If we don't have a EC range on VREC pin voltage, how can we judge 6.8V to 7.2V as a common range? I am asking this because customer find a new board that has a 7.6V VREC.

What's more, VREC is the input voltage of DCR010505 internal LDO. And for a LDO input, there must be a EC range on it or the LDO will be damaged, right?

So could you please help check with your team to see if we can give the EC range on VREC pin to customer. Thanks.

    Best regards,

    Wayne

  • Hi Wayne,

    I can understand the confusion.

First, we do not have an EC range. Unfortunately, we don't have the following information due to this device is part of our legacy modules of +10 years old. Therefore, we will not be able to provide an EC table with VREC characterization. The common range is based off measurements gathered from internal evaluation boards and values shared by customers in the past.
Second, you are correct. The input to the LDO is the VREC voltage. The Abs Max input to the LDO is 16V, which is well above the values measured by the customer.

    Regards,
    Alejandro
