UCC256303 LLC DCM

In DCM operation, the sec. current can be seen as a half sine wave and it's frequency is fr, but the turn on time of power switch increase with load.

EX: 20% and 40% Load and fr is 50kHz

The peak current of 40% Load is higher than the peak current of 20%

The conduct time is 10us (50kHz)

But the break time of 40% Load is higher than the break time of 20%

20% Load : fs is 38.4kHz (each half cycle is 13us)=> The conduct time is 10us and break time is 3us ( the turn on time of power switch is 13us)

40% Load : fs is 35.7kHz (each half cycle is 14us)=> The conduct time is 10us and break time is 4us ( the turn on time of power switch is 14us)

What is physical meaning in DCM of LLC converter?

Why the break time is not 3 or 2us @40% Load?

In COT buck converter, the off time will decrease with load in DCM, What is different between them?
