BQ28Z610: firmware of BQ28Z610

Part Number: BQ28Z610

Now The I2C of electricity meter is not working. In addition to the hardware problem,I'm not sure if the IC BQ28Z610 has burned the firmware.

From the official website, this chip needs burning firmware. Now the following problems are as follow:

1、 The burning Is done by TI  company or by our factory?

2、 Is firmware used frome the official website or needed secondary development?

3、 If we need to burn firmware in our factory, the burning tools and methods need to be provided to us, and what test points need to be left on the motherboard for burning?

4、 If firmware needs secondary development, who will develop it? How long is the development cycle?

Thank you

  • Jimmy,

The bq28z610 does contain a default image when purchased from TI, but lots of parameters are needed to be updated to be accurate. This is often done by programming in a "golden image". TI provides a file type called .fs file. You can find many links in the E2E forum for this information.

I do not understand what you are asking with some of your questions.

    Thanks,

    Eric Vos
