Hello Experts,

I would like to know definition of Ic-load in equation 11 of the datasheet. Ic-load is maximum load current, correct? If no, please correct me.

Vin: 5V

delta T= (47u*2*5)/3 = 156.667u
Cext = 11u * (156.667u /5) - 200p = 144.6674pF <= Is the calculation correct? If so, can I use 100pF for Cext?

• Hi Fujiwara,

Ic-load is the max  current through output cap during startup. During startup the current will go through the cap and other load connected at output. So we have to ensure that total current during startup<5W/VIN. So if the load at efuse output during startup draws X current . Let us assume current through output cap to be Y then we have to ensure that X+Y<5W/VIN,X+Y<1A(in our case).

So for correct calculation, we have to know is there any other load another than capacitor at efuse output that  will draw current during startup?
