UCC3818A: To apply the UCC3818 for 220VDC to 380VDC input applicant

Hi Expert,

The engineer would like to consider to leverage their mature AC-DC design that adopted the UCC3818 inside for 220VDC to 380VDC input applicant instead.

The difference is one from AC input and anther one is DC input for same platform.

According to the information from E2E forum. The UCC3818 is capable to meet them both.

Pls help to confirm again and share us the reference design will be appreciated.

And there are following question about IAC once the input source is DC input.

Whether any system level performance be constrained when IAC is sense the fixed DC input.Poor line regulation or output transient response?

    Hi Eric,

    unfortunately I also do not find any reference design for the DC input application.

    if it is just to boost 220VDC to 380VDC, we should be able to speed up the voltage loop at least ten times of a normal ac input PFC voltage loop(usually below 20Hz) to help on the line regulation and output transient.
