which design is better for solar power harvesting... i need to charge a lipo battery of 4.2V using a small solar cell.. i have seen the design TIDA-050039 and TIDA-00242 schematic is not clear to me so i need help in this case and which design is better ..

Hi Dikshant,

it depends on your solar cell output voltage. if the input is two solar cell (VIN>0.7V)in series or higher, and output current is within the limitation of the BQ device. TIDA-00242 is better. if there is only on cell (VIN<0.6V), you can try TIDA-050039
