TPS25924: Reverse Current Trip Threshold

Hello E2E,

Do you have data on what the reverse current trip threshold is? Is it measured via a voltage drop from Vout to Vin or is it based on current flow? What is the trip point? I do not see any values in the datasheet. Any data you can provide is much appreciated!

Hi Russell,

Thanks for reaching out! As you know that for this device we are using external BFET for blocking reverse current . We are turning external fet off when there is UVLO or thermal shutdown. Datasheet states that there is a delay in micro seconds from UVLO till BFET turns off. During this delay time only reverse current flow. Now this current flow threshold will depend on the customer system, like how much current can flow in this duration.

For devices with internal RCB protection like TPS25942/944,TPS25947 we specify such threshold .

Thanks for the response. To confirm, you are saying that the TPS259240 device doesn't have a specific reverse current threshold similar to the TPS25940 or TPS25947.
