TLV62568A: Comparison to TLV62568

Part Number: TLV62568A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV62568

Hi Team,

what changes in design my customer has to consider if he switches from TLV62568A to TLV62568. Is the only difference the forced PWM mode- so if he uses TLV62568 he has a worse noise performance and better light load performance compared to A version?

Can you provide more details on that?

Thanks

Jan

  • Hello Jan,

In terms of Lout and Cout, the customer can use the existing parts when they shift to TLV62568 as long as they used the values indicated in the tLV62568A datasheet (see figure below).

Expect a higher ripple voltage (at light load conditions) and slower transient response (higher undershoot/overshoot) during step load with TLV62568. It is mainly due to the change of mode of operation (PFM mode) at a lower load current.

Feel free to highlight if you need additional information.

    Best regards,

    Excel
