TPS63000: Any issue for different layout for thermal pad of TPS63000?

Part Number: TPS63000

Dear Sirs,

We want to replace competitor with our TPS63000.

However, their thermal pad is a little different.

Since they are p2p and customer no need to modify their layout but thermal pad.

Is there any problems if those 4 pads did not connect to PGND for IC function and for SMT process?

HI Peter,

I can not find datasheet of RT6156A from ALLDATASHEET and Richtek.com. can you show me or could you help to check the size of thermal pad is same with RT6156A.

Anyway, i do not think there will have problems without 4 pads. But i think is it suitable for SMT process is decided by customer.

Hi Sir,

Sorry for my mistake! It is RT6150A.

The datasheet as attached.

I also checked both of the thermal pad size, they are almost same.

Hi Peter,

that is ok and thanks for considering use TPS63000.

I have a double check and i think it is ok if DFN3*3 package of 6150 is used. hope your project goes well
