UCC3895: About dead time

Hello,

I am investigating the dead time of UCC3895.
(Question 1)
The formula for calculating the dead time (Tdelay) is shown in formula(3) of the data sheet.
Does Tdelay become 25ns when RDEL of the formula is set to 0Ω?
(Question 2)
If Question 1 is YES, is 25ns a TYP value? Or is it the MIN value?
(Question 3)
If Question 1 is NO, what is the minimum dead time?
Also, please tell me the variation.

Hello,

Question 1: According to equation 3 you are correct. You may find figure 3 in the data sheet helpful in regards to turn on delay vs RDEL.

Question 2: Yes

Hello,

Page 7 of hte data sheet has adaptive delay test data which should be related to equation 3.

This is 450 ns to 620 ns with a typical delay of 560ns. This is roughly +/- 15% accurate.
