DC-DC buck converter IC recommended

Thanks for your question.

Several of our devices (including TPS62026) have the so called 100% duty cycle mode.

In short (you can find more details in the datasheet), when VIN drops near VOUT level, our devices keep the high side Mosfet constantly on, realizing a low resistance connection between input and output.

I believe this is what you are looking for.

I would not advise you TPS62026. This is an old device and with an high quiescent current (18uA), not optimized for battery operated application.

I would like to propose you some newer alternatives:

• TPS62840: very high performance, ultra low quiescent current (60nA), optimized to extend battery life.
• TPS62808: high performance, low quiescent current (2.3uA), small package, optimal for solution size.
• TPS62743: high performance, low quiescent current (360nA)
