TPS2041B: TPS2041B suit for 500mA current limit design or not?

Dear Sirs,

My customer wants to design a 500mA output current with limit output once over the 500mA circuit in his system and looking for TPS2041B.

However, while testing, he found the output current can go high to around 1.6A then OC pin will have a flag signal output.

The TPS2041B suit for my customer?

If not, what kind of solution should I suggest to customer?
