Hi, Tommy,

We have a simulation tool for MC33063A, with that it is easier to design a circuit. here is the link:

You can also search the part on TI website and more tools are available online.

Here are some observations about the schematic:

1. Beside bulk capacitors in input and output side, smaller value ceramic caps are also needed in the input and output.
2. R1030 should be reduce to ~80Ohms due to the input is 5V
3. The inductor switching current is >2A in this case, which exceed the limit of MC33063A
4. The feedback resistor R1031 and R1032 should be switched.
