LP87702-Q1: POL capacitors in SNVU695 schematic

Part Number: LP87702-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR6843AOP, LP87702

Hi,

we are trying to design the power supply for IWR6843AOP with the LP87702K-Q1 pmic following the User guide SNVU695.

My Questions:

Are for example on the AR_1P0_RF1 rail, the capacitors C45 -C47 used as POL capacitors on the sensor pins or near the LP87702 and additional capacitors at the sensor pins?

Thanks for your help.

  • Hello,

Those 22uF and 10uF capacitors shown after the ferrite beads are part of the 2nd stage LC filter for better ripple filtering performance and in addition to these capacitors, there are additional 10uF capacitors near the AWR supply pins. But noise requirements also depends on customer ripple performance requirements and during your RF testing, you can try to optimize this 2nd stage LC filter capacitor values.

    Regards,

    Murthy
